10NTLS2000
The 10NTLS2000 represents the latest 18sound technology for high quality, low distortion applications. The Tetracoil technology maximize benefits in terms of thermal dissipation and Bl symmetry, making the 10NTLS2000 the perfect component both as a woofer and a midbass.Dual gap motors linearize inductance and the perfect balance we reached between the motor and the ultra linear suspension allows both very high excursion and extreme precision in the mid band with the lowest intermodulation distortion in the professional market.This features, together with its extreme low weight make the 10NTLS2000 the perfect component for highest quality line arrays and two way systems, thanks also to its 700 watts power handling capabilities.
18NTLW5000
The 18NTLW5000 is a 18 inch diameter next generation high performance subwoofer, specifically designed for high SPL very low frequency applications in either a reflex, bandpass or horn loaded configuration. For optimum results we recommend the usage of power amplifiers able to deliver 4000W program power without clipping.
The 18NTLW5000 uses Eighteen Sound proprietary Tetracoil technology, where two different, axially separated magnetic gaps and two inside-outside 4.5" diameter aluminum voice coils are wound on the same former and suspended evenly in the two magnetic gaps.
The Tetracoil design key advantages are:
1) a symmetric flux density versus displacement behavior, that minimizes the even distortion products;
2) a very symmetric and flat inductance curve;
3) the equivalent voice coil diameter of a 4.6" Tetracoil speaker is greater than 6". Consequently heat dissipation occurs over a larger surface area, driving AES power handling up to 1800 W.
18NTLW5000 design features include a large displacement suspension system which, in conjunction with a fiberglass reinforced, straight ribbed cone allows an ultra-linear piston action and provides full mechanical control across the entire working range.
In order to furtherly increase power handling and reduce power compression figure, a low density material air diffractor is placed into the backplate venting hole acting as a cooling system, increasing power handling capability and lowering the power compression figure.
18NTLW5000 is able to perform properly under inclement weather conditions: the exclusive cone treatment improves pulp strength and gives water repellent properties to both sides of the membrane. In addition, magnetic structure metal plates coating is far more resistant than standard zinc coating to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidization.
18NLW9601
The 18NLW9601 is an extended low frequency 18 inch neodymium high performance transducer. It is the evolution of the industry standard 18NLW9600. The loudspeaker has been designed for use as a subwoofer component, in either a reflex, bandpass or horn loaded high SPL demanding applications. For optimum results recommended amplifier should be able to deliver 3600 Watt program power. At the heart of teh transducer stands a double silicon spider based on DSS technology let the 18NLW9601 being able to control the moving mass with high linearity, showing an exceptional stability of mechanical parameter values in the long term. The state-of-the-art 5,3" diameter ISV copper clad aluminum wire CCAW voice coil shows a inside-outside split winding, four layers design, enabling the 18NLW9601 to handle up to 3600W program power. Bl force factor, as well as all other electro-dynamic parameters, are linear within the working range. This, together with the exceptional high excursion behavior - 70mm before damage, ±14mm linear Xmax - makes the 18NLW9601 an extremely low distortion, highly dynamic transducer. The already low distortion and sound quality have been further improved by the aluminum demodulating ring (SDR technology), that flatten impedance and phase versus frequency. The 18NLW9601 has been developed after intense FEA and fluidodynamics simulation and testing, focusing on dissipating the heat generated by the powerful voice coil. Special attention was given to the optimization of air flow into the gap without introducing audible noise. A low-density foam diffractor placed into the vent hole acts as a cooling system, increasing the power handling capability and lowering the power compression figure. The carbon fiber reinforced, straight ribbed cone shows a proprietary resin treatment for extra pulp strength and water repellent properties. A special coating applied to both the top and back plates makes the transducer far more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidization.
ND2060
The ND2060 2-inch exit neodymium high frequency compression driver has been designed for high level sound systems application. Its titanium diaphragm is produced in house and has been developed to assure unmatched transient response. The diaphragm assembly is made by joining the former directly to the titanium dome on its upper bend edge. In comparison with a usual straight former joint, the driver's design assures extended frequency energy transfer for improved response linearity and unparallel reliability. This feature facilitates proper motion control of the dome in real working conditions. A proprietary treated Nomex former is used as shows a 30% higher value of tensile elongation at a working operative temperature (200°C) when compared to Kapton. Moreover, this proprietary former material is also suitable for use in higher moisture content environments. The big innovation in ND2060 consists of its magnetic architecture. By careful use of elementary pieces of neodymium magnets, Eighteen Sound engineers have developed a powerful neodymium magnet assembly able to reach 19KGauss in the gap in compact and lightweight structures. The motor structure, throughout the precisely coherent phase plug with 3 circumferential slots and copper ring on the pole piece, reduces inductance effects and distortion. Four top plate air ducts have been designed to act as a loading chamber for the diaphragm, implementing mid band distortion and response figures. The custom designed O-ring creates a tight seal between the plate and the cover assuring air chamber loading. Excellent heat dissipation and thermal exchange are guaranteed by the direct contact between the magnetic structure and the aluminum cover which leads to a lower power compression value. Due to the increasing use of high power audio systems at outdoor events or in marine environments, the ability of equipment to perform properly under inclement weather conditions is a key feature of Eighteen Sound philosophy. Hence, a special treatment has been applied to the magnet and the top and back plates of the magnetic structure which make the driver more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidization. This treatment is more effective than any other treatment in use by other manufacturers.

ND1050
The ND1050 one inch exit high frequency compression driver is designed for high quality applications, where size is a critical issue. ND1050 high flux ultra compact magnetic assembly architecture, achieves the remarkable 1,9 Tesla value in the gap containing the external size in 75mm - 3 inches - making this HF driver a benchmark in its category. Equipped with Eighteen Sound proprietary Phase Plug architecture, the ultra compact ND1050 ensures a coherent wavefront at the horn entrance over all the working frequency range. The radial - tangerine phase plug design with short openings and high flare rate value assures low distortion and remarkable improvements in mid-high frequency reproduction. The transducer diaphragm assembly is composed of a titanium dome sandwiched to a proprietary treated polyester suspension. This design maintains low resonance and lowers the minimum crossover point value to 1.6kHz. An edge-wound aluminum voice coil, wounded on proprietary treated Nomex, completes diaphragm assembly. Thanks to its physical properties, the proprietary treated Nomex former shows 30% higher value of tensile elongation at working operative temperature (200°C) when compared to Kapton. Moreover, this material is suitable to work also in higher moisture contents environments. The ability to perform properly under inclement weather conditions is a key-point of the Eighteen Sound philosophy. The special treatment applied to the magnet and the top and back plates of the magnetic structure makes the driver more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidization than any other treatment used by other manufacturers.
